We had reported earlier that director
Prabu Solomon
had plans to come up with a sequel for his hit film Kumki. Though there were speculations doing the rounds some time ago about him doing a film with Udhayanidhi, the filmmaker avers that he’s keen to work on the sequel now, which has been titled
Kumki
2. Prabu says, “The project will go on floors from this month end.
Kumki 2
will have debutantes playing the lead roles. Like the first part, this movie, too, will deal with a love story, though the basic plot will revolve around an elephant. Sukumar, who cranked the camera for Kumki, have been retained for this project.” A formal announcement on the cast and crew will be made soon.
Vikram Prabhu made his debut with Kumki, while the film was
