KS Ravikumar to play Vijay Sethupathi's dad

After playing Dhanush's father in Thangamagan, director KS Ravikumar will be seen in the role of Vijay Sethupathi's dad in Rekka. The film, directed by Rathina Siva, who has made Vaa Deal, is said to be a commercial entertainer, and will have Sethupathi in action hero mode.
���KS Ravikumar plays Vijay Sethupathi's dad and the emotional bonding between these two characters will be one of the highlights of the film,��� says Rathina Siva.According to the director, his hero's character is that of a guy who has studied law in Bangalore and returns to his hometown, Kumbakonam. ���He gets caught between the rivalry between two gangsters and the story then moves to Madurai. Vedalam villain Kabir Singh and actor Harish Uthaman play the two warring gangsters,��� he adds.
Lakshmi Menon, who pairs up with Sethupathi for the first time, plays a college student in the film, which has music by D Imman. The film, which had its puja on Friday , will go on floors on May 12 in Chennai.
