KS Ravikumar to direct Raghava Lawrence and his brother Elvin

, who is known for his blockbuster films like Padayappa, Avvai Shanmugi, Muthu and Panchathanthiram, will be directing Raghava Lawrence in a yet-to-be-titled movie that will have the actor-choreographer's brother

, who has bankrolled and distributed many hit movies, has joined hands with AR Entertainment for this new film, which is going to be made on a grand budget. The team has made the announcement on the film today, on Raghava Lawrence's birthday.


Raghava Lawrence will be seen in a never-before-seen mass role and his will be a special appearance in this film, which will be a mix of action, comedy and emotions.

This will be Elvin's first film as the lead. He had previously made a cameo appearance in Kanchana 2. In June 2021,

Axess Film Factory

had announced a project with Elvin as a lead with "a MASS Hero playing an important role". The film was also supposed to have Rajkiran in a crucial role. We wonder if it's the same project that has now changed hands now.


This is the first time that KS Ravikumar and Raghava Lawrence are working together.

The selection process is going on for the rest of the cast and technical crew, and the shooting of this project will commence soon.

Lawrence is currently acting in

Rudhran

, which has Priya Bhavanishankar as the female lead and Aadukalam producer Kathiresan making his debut as a director. The action drama is slated to hit screens on April 14, 2022.
