Kreshna files for divorce alleging abuse from wife

Tamil actor Kreshna has filed a divorce petition in a city family court alleging physical and verbal abuse from his wife. In his petition, Kreshna said he married Hemalatha Ranganathan on February 6, 2014. After a few days, the couple started living with Kreshna���s joint family. As Hemalatha Ranganathan couldn���t adjust with the family, he took am independent house.Despite this, Hemalatha Ranganathan ���did not perform her duties as a dutiful wife, picked quarrels at the slightest instance and made life miserable for him.��� Because of her ���suspicious nature��� and ���recalcitrant attitude,��� Kreshna was unable to concentrate on his profession.
Further, his wife had unrealistic expectations. When Kreshna was unable to live up to her expectations, Hemalatha Ranganathan tortured him. On few occasions, Hemalatha Ranganathan inflicted injuries on herself and blamed Kreshna. He endured the torture silently for 14 months to make the marriage work but of no avail. Things came to such a pass that Kreshna opted for outdoor shootings rather than to stay at his house, said the petition.
Hemalatha Ranganathan approached the president of producer���s council alleging cruel treatment by Kreshna in March 2015. Meanwhile, she also filed a false dowry complaint against him. She also claimed Kreshna was alcoholic and had relationships with other women. On the basis of Hemalatha Ranganathan���s complaint, he also received summons for Social Welfare Board Coimbatore.
