‘Kolamaavu Kokila’: Rajinikanth heaps praise on Nayanthara’s film

Actress Nayanthara-starrer dark comedy ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ has opened to terrific response from critics and audience alike. While the film is running to packed houses in Tamil Nadu, an interesting news has surfaced on the internet.
According to reports, superstar Rajinikanth watched a special screening of ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ and has lauded the entire team.
Taking to Twitter, an elated Nelson Dhilipkumar wrote, “Got a surprise call ,The moment when Thalaivar @rajinikanth said " loved it , sirichu sirichu enjoyed it " ...Big moment for me and team #KolamaavuKokila Thank you sir.Feeling motivated.”

On the other hand, director Shankar also appreciated Nelson for coming up with something unique. He said, “Kolamaavu Kokila- An interesting, humorous, kudumba-crime drama. Nayanthara-calm, effective n classy. Each character shines in its own way.Anirudh rocks with “Gun-in Kadhal” at the right places. Director Nelson surprises with a fresh approach.Well written and satisfying.”

It must be noted that ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ marks the debut of Nelson Dhilipkumar. The film, which released on Friday, has opened to a solid start at the box office. Reports suggest that ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ has made over Rs 10 crore in the opening weekend. With Anirudh Ravichander’s music, the film also stars Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan, Jacqueline and RS Shivaji in important roles.
