The 20th Chennai International Film Festival, which kickstarted on December 15, ended on a high note with deserving films and personalities being honoured with awards recently. Vijay Sethupathi bagged the Best Actor award for Seenu Ramasamy’s Maamanithan.

Poo Ramu, who was posthumously honoured for his performance in Kida. The Ra Venkat film was adjudged the Best Tamil Feature Film.
The Best Actress award was bagged by Sai Pallavi, whose portrayal of the titular role in Gargi was appreciated by both the audience and the critics.
Parthiban’s Iravin Nizhal bagged two honours — Special Jury Award and Best Cinematographer Award (for Arthur Wilson). Antony BJ Ruben won the Best Audiographer award for Pa Ranjith’s Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, while CS Prem Kumar took home the Best Editor honour for debutant Jagan Vijaya’s split-screen film Beginning.
