Keerthy Suresh is on cloud nine. The actress recently won the Best Actress award at the 66th National Film Awards for her portrayal of legendary actress
Savithri
. Keerthy shared her statement on social media in which she credited the entire team of
Mahanati
. She said that she was overwhelmed with emotions and thanked every member of the cast and crew. Her note read, “The legendary Savitri Amma’s blessings I believe was the strongest reason in getting accolades for me and my team. I am happy that the film has won three National Awards.”
She dedicated the award to her family. “I would like to dedicate this award to my family especially to my mother , guru Priyadarshan sir, my friends and all my well wishers, who have been a great means of support for me.”
She added, “I congratulate the costume designers Gaurang Shah, Archana Rao, costume stylist Indrakshi Pattanaik Malik and their team for winning the honours. Their efforts of delving into intense research and detailing shaped not just my role, but every character with realistic shades. I congratulate all the recipients of National Awards.” She also thanked the media and the jury.
