Vijay Sethupathi's action suspense film 'Maharaja' has been released in theatres today. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Mamta Mohandas, Anurag Kashyap, Abhirami, and Munishkanth. The film revolves around a barber who seeks vengeance when his home is burglarized. Played by Vijay Sethupathi, the lead character seeks help from the police by cryptically telling them that his 'Lakshmi' has been stolen. As the police decipher whether 'Lakshmi' refers to a person or an object, the quest to recover 'Lakshmi' unfolds through intense action sequences.

The movie has received positive responses from fans and critics, with some even calling it the film of the year during the premiere show.
