After the lukewarm response for his acting turn in Mandhira Punnagai, director Karu Pazhaniappan, is now all set to work on his first remake. The director, known for his human dramas like Parthiban Kanavu and Pirivom Santhippom, is remaking the 2011 Malayalam blockbuster Ordinary in Tamil. The film will have Parthepan, Vimal and Vidharth (of Mynaa fame), in the lead. The original revolved around a bus that plies on a remote route to a hill station and a murder that happens in the place, and had Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon and
Asif Ali in the lead.
Manisha Yadav, who impressed everyone with her performance in
Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and is currently shooting for
Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer with Suseenthiran, plays the female lead while actress
Poorna will be seen in a crucial role. Music for the film will be by Karu's regular collaborator
Vidyasagar, who also scored for the original.
A pooja for the film was held recently in Chennai in which the cast and crew were present.
