Karthi's next with Nalan Kumarasamy goes on floors

Actor Karthi is gearing up for the release of his film 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' which is set to release in theatres on April 28. Being one of the prominent actors of South, Karthi had earlier signed up for his 26th film with director Nalan Kumarasamy. The film reportedly went on floors today, March 27 after the muhurat pujah.

The movie makers are yet to share the pictures from the film launch and it is expected that they will soon announce the rest of the cast and crew of the film. While Karthi plays the male lead, the female lead will be played by Bollywood actress Gayatri Bhardwaj. Interestingly, the music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

According to reports, Karthi is said to start shooting for the film from the first week of May. On the work front, the actor is now filming for his 25th film 'Japan' with director Raju Murugan.
