Actor Karthi is one of the successful and bankable heroes of Kollywood and his latest film 'Japan' was released in theatres on November 10. Directed by Raju Murugan, the film stars Karthi and Anu Emmanuel in lead roles and the rest of the cast includes KS Ravikumar, Sunil and Vijay Milton. The music for the movie is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

The film after its release in theatres, was not received well and it failed at the box office. It is now set to make its digital premiere and the movie will be out on Netflix on December 11. The OTT platform took to social media to announce the launch of the film on its platform. The post read, "Intha kadhai-la thimingalam sikkuma sikkadha nu paaka neenga ready ah? #Japan, coming to Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on 11 Dec!"


'Japan' marks as an important film for Karthi as it is the actor's 25the movie. However, the response to the film was not good as it received a lot of negative reviews. It is a heist action comedy and Karthi plays a negative role as a gold thief.


On the work front, the actor has two more films lined up. He will be seen in the movie of Nalan Kumarasamy, to be titled 'Vaa Vathiyare'. The movie's cast includes Karthi, Krithi Shetty, Sathyaraj and Anandraj. The music for the movie will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The actor will also start the work for his next, 27th film with '96' director Prem Kumar. The official announcement is awaited. Apart from this Karthi will be joining hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj again to shoot for 'Kaithi 2', a sequel - part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
