Karthi is reportedly joining hands with director Raju Murugan for an upcoming film. As per the reports, the film will start rolling in October. The official announcement regarding the film is expected to be made soon, and the film muhurat puja is planned to happen on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja.
Even though Raju Murugan has hinted about uniting with Karthi, the official announcement from the production house is yet to be made. GV Prakash Kumar is said to be scoring the music, while Ravi Varman will be handling the camera and 'Japan' is locked as the title for the film. 'Vikram' actor Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing the antagonist opposite Karthi in the film.
Karthi is also part of 'Sardar', which is directed by PS Mithran, and he plays a dual role. The cop thriller drama is locked to release for this Diwali along with Sivakarthikeyan's 'Prince' and it's going to be the second face-off between two popular actors at the box office.
Meanwhile, Karthi will be next seen in the historical film 'Ponniyin Selvan', which is directed by Mani Ratnam. The charming actor is busy with promotions as the film is slated to release next week on September 30.
