Karthika to romance Darshan in her Kannada debut

Karthika, the elder daughter of yesteryear actress Radha, is all set to make her presence felt in Sandalwood. The actress, who has already kickstarted her film career in all the other southern film industries, is debuting opposite Darshan in the Kannada remake of the Telugu film Brindavanam. Titled Brindavana, the film will be directed by K Maadesh.
Says Karthika, ���I���ve been lucky to debut in a different industry every year.This year, I start my career in Kannada films. It was a very spontaneous decision to sign up for this project.���
Karthika, who has seen the original, says that she liked the role played by Kajal Aggarwal in it. ���It is a bubbly role and just right for me.��� And though the young actress is busy with work in the south, she continues to live in Mumbai. Is it because she wants to eventually move to Bollywood? ���I am not ready for Bollywood yet. In fact, I don't see the need to get into Hindi films as I���ve grown up seeing the success my mother enjoyed in the south. I���d rather work in industries where I am treated like family, than being an alien in another industry,��� she says.
