Director Karthik Subbaraj's sequel to 'Jigarthanda', which had been titled, 'Jigarthanda Double X' starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles is gearing up for release soon for Diwali 2023. Meanwhile, the makers have now released the teaser of the film.
The teaser was released by Dhanush, Mahesh Babu, Rakshit Shetty and Dulquer Salmaan. The makers have also called the film 'A Pandyaa Western' story. The film also has Nimisha Sajayan, Naveen Chandra and Shine Tom Chacko in important roles. Sharing the teaser, Dhanush wrote, "Glad to launch the trailer of @karthiksubbaraj”s jigarthanda double x. This looks like an absolute blast. #JigarthandaDoubleX - Teaser. Best wishes to @karthiksubbaraj and team for Diwali 2023."
The film is about a filmmaker and a gangster in 1975, who made a film together, with SJ Suryah apparently playing the filmmaker and Ragahav Lawrence, the gangster. While the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan, the technical team includes cinematography by S Thirunavukkarasu and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali.
