Karthi: The link-up tangle

Though hes just three-films-old in Kollywood, Karthi has already had his share of link-ups....
Karthi: The link-up tangle
First, it was Tamannaah and the film was Paiyaa. Now, its Kajal Aggarwal and the film in question is Naan Mahaan Alla. Kollywood circles are abuzz with rumours about how actor Karthi is increasingly being linked with his leading ladies.
The actor, who starred with Priya Mani in his first flick Paruthi Veeran, was then linked with Reemma and Andrea in Aayirathil Oruvan.

But it was not till his tryst with full-fledged love subjects that the actor got into the link-ups tangle. When Paiyaa was about to hit screens, rumour had it that the films lead pair, Karthi and Tamannaah, were a couple. Now, with Naan Mahaan Alla nearing completion, it looks like its Kajals turn to be romantically linked with Karthi.
A source reveals that these link-ups could be the result of some traditional-minded people on the sets: If people spot a hero talking to the leading lady for a while, they come to a conclusion that doesnt have an iota of truth in it.
But that argument doesnt seem to have any takers among some sections of the industry, who claim that this could be just a promotional tactic to make the film the talk of the town. Quiz Karthi about this, and he shoots back, Thats the cheapest way of creating publicity, especially because a girl is involved, too. We put in so much effort while filming to get a good product and there are other ways to promote it.
Why does this happen to his films alone? It started with Paiyaa, perhaps because the movie was a love story. When I worked with two heroines in Aayirathil Oruvan, there were no rumours. At a press meet recently, I was asked which of the two heroines (Tamannaah and Kajal) was better. I just asked the reporters to tell me what they wanted as an answer, he states.
