Actor Karthi is awaiting the release of his Sulthan and the movie's trailer launch happened yesterday in the city. It is also reported that he will be next teaming up with his Komban director PG Muthiah for a movie which will be bankrolled by his brother and actor Suriya's home banner.
A versatile actor Karthi has a huge fan base in Telugu, too and five years ago he did a bilingual with Nagarjuna directed by Vamsi Paidipalli.

The movie was titled Thozha in Tamil and Oopiri in Telugu. The director has posted about the movie's fifth anniversary and wrote, "#5YearsOfOopiri.... The high-budget movie about a paraplegic billionaire and his caretaker, an ex-convict was received well and also had a good run in the theatres. Nagarjuna played Vikramaditya and Karthi essayed Seenu, the caretaker in the movie. The film also had Tamannaah in the cast.
Karthi is also playing a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan.
