Even as his Kaithi is in the last stages of productions,
Karthi has started shooting for his next. The yet-to-be titled film is being directed by Remo fame
Bakkiyaraj Kannan, and went on floors yesterday.
A source says, “The pooja launch of the film happened in Chennai, and the team also shot for a brief while. The plan is to finish the film in a start-to-end schedule. The makers have erected huge sets in the city, where major portions will be canned. Karthi has almost finished work on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi, with the final schedule also nearing completion. Post that, he will concentrate complete on Bakkiyaraj’s film.”
Touted to be an action-comedy, the film has Rashmika Mandanna making her
Kollywood
debut. “She’s a known name in the Kannada and Telugu industries, and has done films like Kirik Party and Geetha Govindam. Vivek-Merwin will be composing the music, while Sathyan Sooryan is handling the camera for this film.”
