More recently, the actress, who is prepping for the second season of the show, was asked about what she thought of Kangana Ranaut, who also plays Jayalalithaa in
Kangana was shooting for the Vijay directorial in Chennai before the lockdown. To fit into the role, she not only learnt Tamil and Bharatanatyam, but also piled on a few kilos. “Apart from my personal liking for her, it’s the very extraordinary life that she lived, and the extraordinary perseverance and strength that she showed in the face of adversity… these are truly remarkable,” Kangana had told us earlier.
The actress had also been vocal about her admiration for Ramya Krishnan, and said that she and Neena Gupta would be apt choices to play the lead in films like Saand Ki Aankh, which chronicled the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar who won at championships when they were in the 60s.

The actress, who has breathed life into characters like Neelambari (Padayappa) and Sivagami (Baahubali series), aced the role of Shakthi in the series directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prasath Murugesan.
