While there have been reports in certain sections of the media that
Kamal Haasan will be doing a film for
AVM
Productions, the production house that introduced him in Kalathoor Kannamma as a child artiste, we hear that no such project is on the cards.
The reports mentioned that
Kamal has chosen veteran actor-filmmaker Mouli, with whom he had made Pammal K Sammandham, to direct this project, and that it will be titled Meiyappan, after the production house's founder. However, a source in the production house told us that they have no such plans for a film. Similarly, a person in Kamal's camp, too, rubbished such reports and added that currently the
Ulaganayagan
's focus is only on completing Sabash Naidu, the shoot of which he will be resuming in January 2017.
