Amala in the lead roles, and the film was released in theatres in 1988. The action drama is about an unemployed youngster, who fights for injustice, and the film had music scored by Ilaiyaraaja. 'Sathya' was the Tamil remake of the Hindi film 'Arjun', while Rahul Rawail's directorial had Sunny Deol and
Dimple Kapadia in the main roles.
