Kamal Haasan's brother Charuhasan gets hospitalised; daughter Suhasini Maniratnam shares an update - WATCH video

Actor-turned-director Charuhasan, the elder brother of Kamal Haasan, has been hospitalised following a recent fall. His daughter, actress Suhasini Maniratnam, shared an update on his condition on Instagram, posting a few photos with her father and a video from his hospital bed.

In her post, Suhasini wrote, “Midnight before Deepavali, we had a fall. Our Deepavali was in an emergency. But we are all geared up for surgery.” In the video, Suhasini can be seen asking him whether he is ready for the surgery. The actor confirms he is fine and prepared for the surgery with a positive smile on his face. “I’m fine. I will come back and see you. I’ll be alright,” he states in the clip.

Several actors sent their well-wishes, sharing how positive he is during these tough times. Actor R. Madhavan reacted, “He is such a fighter… will be back home and normal in no time.” Khushbu Sundar added, “He is the strongest man I have ever known. His positive vibes are incredibly infectious. He will be back hale and hearty very soon. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Actress Laila wrote, “Wishing him a speedy recovery. He is so lucky to have his beautiful daughter by his side. Get well soon!”
Charuhasan was previously hospitalized in August due to age-related health concerns. Most recently, he appeared in the movie Haraa, an action thriller directed by Vijay Sri G Charuhasan also played the lead role in the 2019 movie Dha Dha 87, directed by Vijay Sri G.
