Kamal Haasan's 'Aalavandhan' directed by Suresh Krissna is one of the actor's classic films and the film has a separate fan base. Though the film received mixed response when it released in 2001, it went on to win the National Film Award for Best Special Effects. Now, with the film completing 22 years, the film is gearing up for a re-release.
Announcing the same, director Suresh Krissna wrote, "Celebrating today 22 years of AALAVANDHAAN- a cult classic - the one and only Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan ��"
'Aalavandhan' featured Kamal Haasan in a dual role as twin brothers with Raveena Tandon and Manisha Koirala as female leads. The story of the film is about twin brothers, who have different ideologies about life, while Kamal Haasan stunned fans with his roles as both villain and hero.
Directed by Suresh Krissna, the film had song composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy with Mahesh Mahadevan scoring the background score.
