Kamal Haasan writes a script to suit the new normal in filmmaking

Kamal Haasan’s acting prowess needs no introduction. He is also credited with bringing several innovations in different crafts associated with filmmaking and is considered to be a front runner when it comes to embracing new technologies. While OTT platforms were not in vogue, he tried releasing Vishwaroopam on DTH. The irony is that some of the producers who opposed the move are in the race to release their movies on OTT.From make-up to digital sound, Kamal’s contribution to Indian cinema is unparalleled.
During the lockdown, the actor has completed a new screenplay, which is reported to be done keeping in mind a direct OTT release. With minimum crew and a few actors, it is said that Kamal will start shooting for the film, once the lockdown is lifted. However, there is no confirmation on whether Kamal will act, direct or produce the movie.
In the meantime, Kamal has plans to bankroll Thalaivar 169 with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead while Lokesh Kanagaraj will helm the project. He also has to finish Indian 2 under Shankar’s directorial and he is expected to turn to direction with 'Thalaivan Irukkindran' in which he will collaborate with A.R. Rahman for the music of the movie.
