As Radikaa Sarathkumar's most awaited 'Thaai Kizhavi' will hit the big screens on February 27, superstar Kamal Haasan has shared his first review for the movie.



Veteran actor Kamal Haasan attended a special screening of 'Thaai Kizhavi' at the Tagore Film Centre earlier this week. The actor also offered heartfelt appreciation to the entire team. The film, led by Radikaa Sarathkumar, was showcased exclusively for Kamal at the request of the makers. In a video shared online Radikaa captured Kamal’s reactions. He gave a big thumbs-up and told the team, “The audiences will say more about this movie, rather than me or the news outlets.”

After the screening Kamal embraced debutant director Sivakumar Murugesan, commending him for his handling of the film. Patting both Sivakumar and actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan, he said, “Such a good producer and such a magnificent director.” His words left the team emotional. Radikaa later wrote on social media, “To see him enjoy the film and embrace the team with such warmth… a moment we will treasure forever.”

Kamal Haasan is producing Sivakumar’s upcoming film 'Seyon' which is headlined by Sivakarthikeyan. Both the actor and Radikaa’s husband, Sarathkumar, were present at the screening.

Recently, Radikaa revealed that Kamal was particularly impressed by her physical and emotional transformation for the elderly woman she portrays in 'Thaai Kizhavi'. Radikaa's post was also filled with comments and this means that the audiences are eagerly waiting to watch her intense character on screen.


One wrote, “very eager to watch it in the theatre. Congratulations to everyone! This film will become a huge blockbuster success.”

Another viewer commented, “That ‘oru nalla producer’ I had goosebumps and his smile said it all.” A different user praised the director: “Oru sirappaana Director @dir_sivakumarmurugesan Anna.”


The film features a magnificent supporting cast, including Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Ilavarasu, Muthukumar, George Maryan, and Rachel Rebecca.

Behind the camera the film is powered by composer Nivas K Prasanna, cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar, and editor San Lokesh. 'Thaai Kizhavi' is set for a theatrical release on February 27.
