The South Indian International Movie Awards this year is happening in Dubai. The 11th edition of the awards for Tamil cinema is being held on September 16 and the SIIMA is honouring director Mani Ratnam. With many movies and stars nominated for the awards, actor Kamal Haasan has now reached Dubai. The award founders Vishnu Induri and Brinda Prasad were there to welcome the actor. Kamal Haasan has been nominated for the Best Actor Award for his film 'Vikram'.
Sharing the picture, SIIMA's official Instagram page captioned it, "@vishnuinduri & @brindaprasad are extremely happy to welcome the legendary @ikamalhaasan Garu."
The movie has also been nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Villain, and Best Music Director awards. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj also reached Dubai last evening. Following the two, actress Gayathrie Shankar is attending the Dubai award show as well. Actress Shruti Haasan who has also bagged a nomination for her Telugu film reached Dubai yesterday.
The SIIMA event will enthrall the audience with some electrifying performances and music composer GV Prakash, actress Aditi Shankar, Athulya Ravi and others are performing at the event. The show will be hosted by actor Sathish for the Tamil category.
