‘Amaran’ succeeds with smart planning and promotion

Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Amaran,' produced by Kamal Haasan's production house, earned ₹300 crore and established a unique place for the actor's production style. The main reason for this success is said to be the planned promotion and proper distribution methods for the film. But the film 'Thug Life,' which was co-produced by the same company, lagged behind at the box office due to the weakness of the screenplay. It is noteworthy that the film was also co-produced by Mani Ratnam.

‘Thug Life’ setback pushes Kamal Haasan

A report in News 18 suggests that Kamal Haasan has planned to act exclusively for his production company, with complete creative freedom in the future, based on his successful experiences in production. Kamal Haasan's aim is to have complete control over production, promotion, and distribution. Based on this, Kamal Haasan has decided to act only in the pan-Indian film 'Kalki 2898 AD Part 2', which will be produced by an external production house. Kamal Haasan was reportedly paid ₹150 crore as salary for Part 1, which is a record amount.
