In a YouTube conversation with actor Sathyaraj, Kamal Haasan’s daughter, Shruti Haasan, revealed an intriguing truth about why her father learned Bengali.Shruti disclosed that Kamal Haasan learned Bengali during a time when he was deeply in love with acclaimed Bengali actress Aparna Sen. According to her, this was the real motivation behind his interest in the language, not cinema. She even pointed out how Kamal chose the name “Aparna” for Rani Mukerji’s character in his film Hey Ram, which many fans believe was a subtle reflection of his personal feelings.Kamal Haasan’s personal life has often been in the spotlight. He married dancer Vani Ganapathy in 1978 but later grew close to actress Sarika. After a decade, his marriage with Vani ended, and he married Sarika in 1988.
