While accepting the award for his film 'Kalki 2898 AD,' he was asked, “Will you reunite with Rajinikanth on screen again?” and he gave a candid answer.

Kamal Haasan said, “I don’t know if this is a sure thing. But if the fans are happy, we will be happy too. If not, we will keep trying. In fact, we have never had any competitive spirit. It was the fans and the media who created that fantasy. There was never any division between us," he said. He added, "We both shared the same biscuit. Half for one, half for the other. That's enough for us. We're both happy with that," he interestingly noted.
