Kalyani Priyadarshan part of STR’s Maanadu?

It looks like Kalyani Priyadarshan is likely to be roped in as the female lead for STR’s next Maanadu. An official confirmation is awaited. Maanadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu and is said to be a political entertainer. Earlier, speculation was that Raashi Khanna would be playing the role. There was also a buzz that the film was shelved, but the film’s producer Suresh Kamatchi revealed that film is on and the shoot is all set to begin soon.
STR is said to have a new look in the film and is learning martial arts for his role. Venkat Prabhu had also stated that the film will be a landmark one in his career. While Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for the film, Praveen KL will handle the editing. Kalyani was only recently signed to play the female lead in Siva Karthikeyan’s next, directed by PS Mithran.
