For Krishna, the concept of

omniphobia

was very interesting which is one of the reasons why he gave a green signal to Kalari, a family thriller, directed by Kiran Chand. The actor who was last seen in

Pandigai

, tells us more about the film, “We have shot the movie in a place called Vathuruthy, which is in Kochi and has a very large Tamil-speaking population. We wanted to make it as authentic as possible. There will also be a railway track in that area and it will be interesting because the sound of the train will be very prominent throughout the movie. I am a guy who is settled in this area with my family. What is interesting about my character is that I fear everything. How he battles his fears in life is the story. By profession, I play a grocery shop owner, and in the second half, I play a security guy. The movie has nothing to do with kalaripayattu, the art form.

Kalari

in Tamil means war and my internal and external wars are the highlights of the film,” he says.

Vidya Pradeep plays Krishna’s love interest and essays the role of a beautician. The movie also has MS Bhaskar and Jayaprakash playing important roles. The movie is in its post-production stages and is expected to release by the end of the year.
