While a number of films that were planned for a theartical release are getting stacked up due to the current COVID-19 situation are getting released on OTT platforms, looks like the films what were in cans are also coming out finally. One such film is Kajal Agarwal's 'Paris Paris', which is the Tamil remake of the superhit Bollywood blockbuster 'Queen' starring Kangana Ranaut.
The film was made in four regional languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The four actresses in the films are
Kajal Aggarwal (Tamil), Tamannaah (Telugu), Manjima Mohan (Malayalam) and Parul Yadav (Kannada), who are reprising the role of Kangana. The latest about the films which were completed a while ago is that they might release on a popular OTT platform. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
The film revolves around the journey of an abandoned bride who goes on her honeymoon alone and how she rediscovers herself during the course of her journey and becomes independent. While Ramesh Arvind is the director of the Tamil and Kannada version, Prashanth Varma and Neelakanta Reddy have helmed teh Telugu and Malayalam version respectively.
In Kannada the film is called Butterfly, in Telugu it is called That Is Mahalakshmi and in Malayalam is titled, Zam Zam. All the four films were shot simultaneously in Paris, Athens, Nice, Frejus, St Raphael, Mysore, Hyderabad, Gokarna, Thalassery, Rajahmundry, Virudhunagar and Mumbai.
