If reports are to go by, veteran producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has registered the title
Kabali 2
. Interestingly, it was Thanu, who had produced the blockbuster Kabali, starring none other than Superstar
Rajinikanth. Now, that the producer has registered this new title, speculations are rife that there is a sequel for the film on the cards.
The Superstar played an ageing don in the film set in Malaysia and the star cast included Radhika Apte, Dhanshikaa, Kalaiyarasan, Dinesh Ravi and Winston Chao. This might mean that Superstar Rajinikanth���s next, produced by
Dhanush is not a sequel to
Kabali
as expected earlier. Kabali was directed by Ranjith.
