Anand Annamalai, the dialogue writer of the award-winning
Kaaka Muttai
, will be directing Hero in Tollywood. Now, the latest on that is that the team has kickstarted the shoot of the film today in Hyderabad with a small puja. The film stars
Vijay Deverakonda and Pettai girl
Malavika Mohanan in the lead.

A source says, “The film’s muhurat was held in Hyderabad today, and was graced by Tollywood director
Koratala Siva
and Gottipati Ravi. The film marks Anand’s directorial debut; he’s also written the film, which has music by Pradeep Kumar. Anand will also be donning the role of editor for this film.”
While Vijay will be playing a professional biker, Malavika will be seen as a musician in the film. In fact, both the actors had trained for their roles months before and are kicked about starting shoot.
