Jyotika, who has finished shooting for her film with debutant S Raj, is now all set to shoot for a slapstick comedy directed by
Kalyaan of Gulebaghavali fame. The actress will be teaming up with senior actress
Revathy
, who, interestingly, also played a lead role in Gulebaghavali.
“Jyotika and Revathy both are the protagonists in this film, which will be a laugh riot. In addition to them,
Yogi Babu will be seen in a character that will appear throughout the film,” reveals Rajsekarkarpoorasundarapandian, who is producing the film for Suriya’s production house. A bevy of comedians form the supporting cast, which includes Anandaraj, Rajendran, Jagan and Mansoor Ali Khan.
RS Anandakumar and Vijay Velukutty, who shot and edited Gulebhagavali respectively, will be the cinematographer and editor of the untitled film, which will have music by Vishal Chandrasekhar.
The puja of the film will take place in Chennai today, and the shoot is expected to begin on Monday. “We are aiming for a summer release,” adds Rajsekar.
Meanwhile, Jyotika has also finalised another project, which will be directed by JJ Fredrick, a former assistant of director Ahmed. Govind Vasantha of 96 fame will be scoring the music for the film for which talks are on with Bharathiraja, Bhagyaraj and Parthiban to play crucial roles. This project is likely to kick-start in March.
