Jyothika's first Tamil film was with her husband Suriya; Actress reveals it was not 'Vaali'

Actress Jyothika is now one of the most prominent film stars of India. Following Hindi, decades ago she made her debut in Tamil and Malayalam, and now with a huge comeback in Mollywood and Bollywood, the Kollywood star has gained back her huge fan following.
Actress Jyotika following her strong comeback in Hindi, in a recent talk with a Tamil YouTube channel revealed that her first Tamil film was not 'Vaali' and in fact it was alongside her husband Suriya. The actress explained that she was shooting for the 1998 Hindi film 'Doli Saja Ke Rakhna' which was directed by Priyadarshan in Chennai and at that time director Vasanth had signed up for a Tamil film that has Suriya as the lead.
Jyothika revealed that technically her first film was 'Poovellam Kettupaar' and that 'Vaali' alongside Ajith, directed by SJ Suryah, just happened to release earlier. The actress also said that she was 17 at that time when she made her debut in Kollywood.
