After Joe, Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj are reuniting for a family drama with romcom elements that explores how a middle-class couple moves on in their relationship.
Talking about the film, its director Kalaiarasan Thangavel says, “The film revolves around a middle-class married man grappling with his wife's progressive thinking, and explores the conflict between their self-perception as pseudo-feminist and a Periyarist respectively.
How they attempt to reconcile despite these differing ideologies forms the core narrative. The story will also have elements of comedy as the couple strives to make their relationship work despite their differing ideologies.”
Rio Raj tells us, “This film aims to surprise audiences by connecting with the struggles faced by the current generation in relationships. It seeks to challenge the notion of easily giving up on relationships by highlighting the importance of taking the relationship forward, with the message that giving up is not the solution.”
The film also stars Sheela Rajkumar and RJ Vigneshkanth, who is also bankrolling the film with Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel, in prominent roles. Siddhu Kumar, who scored the music for Joe, will also be the composer of this film.
