, which stars Bollywood star
Ranveer Singh in the lead. While a lot of films have been opting for an OTT release lately, the makers of '83' have scheduled the theatrical release of the film. The much awaited film is all set to hit the screens on December 25 for Christmas.
The sports drama is directed by Kabir Khan and tells the journey of the Indian cricket team, which went on to win its maiden World Cup in cricket. While Ranveer plays the then Indian skipper Kapil Dev in the film, Jiiva plays ace batsman Krishnamachari Srikanth in it.
While cinematography is by Aseem Mishra, music is by Pritam and background score by Julius Packiam. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The rest of the star cast includes Deepika Padukone, Amrita Puri, Boman Irani, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khattar, Saqib Saleem, Harddy Sandhu to name a few.
