Jiiva, Shalini in a heist comedy thriller

Looks like Jiiva is on a roll, signing one film after the other. The actor will now team up with director Don Sandy, who earlier made Mahabalipuram, for a heist comedy thriller. Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey will play his love interest in the film.

Talking about the film, its producer

says, “Don Sandy came up with this interesting script, an out-and-out laugh riot with some thriller elements. We wanted someone who can do both comedy and action pretty well, and felt Jiiva would be apt. As for the heroine, the role demanded someone fresh and talented. We chose Shalini Pandey, who has become a hot favourite in Tollywood and Kollywood after Arjun Reddy.”

Vikram Vedha fame Sam CS has been roped in as the composer, and Ruben will take care of the editing department. “Since the director is relatively new, we wanted a fine technical crew. We will begin shooting in January. Most of the portions will be shot in and around Chennai, and in Bangkok,” says Vijay. The film will also have RJ Balaji and Yogi Babu in full-length roles.
