Jayam Ravi's 'Thani Oruvan 2' to commence from April 2024

It is known that actor Jayam Ravi and his brother & director Mohan Raja will be joining hands once again for 'Thani Oruvan 2', a sequel to the superhit 'Thani Oruvan'. The shooting of the film is being planned to commence in April 2024.

Jayam Ravi, who played the protagonist in the first part, will be playing the lead in the sequel as well as ASP Mithran IPS with Nayanthara too returning to play Mahima, a forensic specialist and Mithran's love interest. However, the rest of the cast for the sequel is yet to be revealed and the fans are eagerly waiting for who will be the antagonist.

With the fans hoping for a strong villain in 'Thani Oruvan 2' to do justice to the standard set by Arvind Swami as Siddharth Abhimanyu in the first part, looks like Aamir Khan might be roped in to play the antagonist in 'Thani Oruvan 2'. If he does, he would making his Tamil debut with the film and the fans would be in a for a treat.

'Thani Oruvan' was a fight between good and evil and mostly revolved around an honest cop and a highly intellectual villain. Aravind Swami made a comeback as an antagonist 'Siddharth Abhimanyu'. The character had such an impact that it was considered one of the best antagonists of Tamil cinema.
