Jayam Ravi’s ‘Agilan’ likely to release in February

Directed by Kalyana Krishnan, ‘Agilan’ is a cop gangster drama featuring Jayam Ravi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. The shooting of the film was wrapped up last year and it is currently in post-production. Reportedly, the makers of the film are planning for the movie to release in February. Earlier, the movie was scheduled to release for Christmas but now it is likely to be released on February 17 or February 24. The movie makers are yet to announce the official date of the release.

The movie has Jayam Ravi playing the role of a gangster who is in control of the Bay of Bengal Ocean and how he runs an organised crime business at the harbour; and actress Priya Bhavani Shankar plays a cop. The rest of the cast of the movie includes Tanya Ravichandran and Harish Uthaman. The music for the movie is composed by Sam CS.

With the start of the new year, Kollywood has a list of films that will be released this year. After the release of two big films, ‘Thunivu’ and ‘Varisu’, the only Tamil films that are releasing in February will be ‘Vaathi’ and ‘Agilan’, giving these films time to perform well at the box office.
