Jayam Ravi to join hands with THIS director for a rural drama

Jayam Ravi has recently wrapped up the shooting of Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's directorial 'Kadhalikka Neramillai', and the makers officially confirmed the wrap-up. Just days after completing the shooting of 'Kadhalikka Nerammillai', Jayam Ravi has locked a rural subject with director Pandiraj. Jayam Ravi, who has been choosing different genres of films, is keen on doing a rural drama next, and he reportedly heard a story from Muthaiyah, who delivered several rural entertainers. But he changed his mind after hearing the rural script from Pandiraj according to Indiaglitz Tamil, and the duo's film is to be launched officially soon.

Pandiraj has also reportedly planned to team up with Vijay Sethupathi for a rural drama, but he has now shifted to do a film with Jayam Ravi. But we have to hear from the director to know whether it's the same story or he has different plans for Jayam Ravi and Vijay Sethupathi. Pandiraj last delivered 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' featuring Suriya in the lead role, and the 2022 Tamil release was a decent hit at the box office.

Jayam Ravi is currently filming for the fantasy film 'Genie', and the film helmed by Arjunan has reached the final stage. Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Wamiqa Gabbi play female leads, and the film has music scored by AR Rahman.
