Jayam Ravi is preparing to do a sequel for the first time, and he will be reuniting with his brother director
Mohan Raja for 'Thani Oruvan 2'. As per the reports Jayam Ravi has took a look test for the sequel. The duo’s 'Thani Oruvan' released in 2015 turned into a huge hit.
Following the massive success of 'Thani Oruvan', Jayam Ravi and Mohan Raja announced their reunion for 'Thani Oruvan 2' a few years back. But the film didn't progress and it was put on hold due to the actor's prior commitments. However, the time has come for 'Thani Oruvan 2' as the duo are reviving the film, and the official announcement about the revival will be made on August 28, on the occasion of 8 years of 'Thani Oruvan'. Jayam Ravi reportedly underwent a look test to lock his look for the film. So, we can expect a glimpse or a motion poster soon.
Directed by Mohan Raja, 'Thani Oruvan' features Jayam Ravi and
Nayanthara in the lead roles with Aravind Swamy as the antagonist. Ganesh Venkatraman and
Harish Uthaman played supporting roles. But we have to wait to see whether the director retains the main cast of 'Thani Oruvan' for the sequel or he opts to go with a new set of stars and story.
Jayam Ravi is currently part of 'Iraivan', 'Siren', '
Jana Gana Mana', 'Genie', and an untitled film each with directors M Rajesh and
Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi.
