The most anticipated film of
Rajinikanth 'Jailer' is all set to release in theatres on August 10. With just 12 days left, the movie's audio launch happened in Chennai last night. The grand event was graced by Rajinikanth,
Tamannaah Bhatia,
Tiger Shroff,
Shiva Rajkumar,
Anirudh Ravichander and Nelson Dilipkumar.
Speaking on the stage for nearly an hour, Rajinikanth at the audio launch said that in the recent time he has been rejecting a lot of scripts, especially after 'Annatthe' as everything is similar to that of his old films 'Baasha' and 'Annamalai'.
He also reportedly said that he stopped listening to scripts at one point of time as it was mostly rejections.
The actor also spoke about the online abuse that director Nelson Dilipkumar received after 'Beast'. When it was announced that Rajinikanth's next film will be directed by him, social media was filled with demands from fans asking the production house to change the director. He noted that he wanted to work with Nelson Dilipkumar for 'Jailer' and said that he was very clear on his decision and added that he changed his Twitter banner image with 'Jailer' poster.
The actor also appreciated lyricist Super Subu who penned the songs 'Hukum' and 'Jujubee' from the film. Rajinikanth said that he wanted the word superstar alone removed from the song 'Hukum' and he had requested for it. The actor notoriously added that the title 'Superstar' is always a problem.
Rajinikanth also thanked the entire cast of 'Jailer' and mentioned special words for actor Mohanlal who played an important role in the movie.
