Jai is making his entry into Malayalam cinema with a meaty role in Mammootty-starrer Madhura Raja. The movie is a sequel to the hit film, Pokiri Raja, released in 2010, which had
Mammootty and Prithviraj in lead roles.

, a mass entertainer, is directed by Pulimurugan fame Vyshak and Mammootty plays the titular role.
It’s reported that Jai has many sequences with Mammootty and the actor has apparently shot for some of the scenes for the movie. Madhura Raja will have Prithiviraj doing a cameo and Sunny Leone will be seen in a special song. Written by Uday Krishna, the film’s songs are by Gopi Sundar. The makers of the movie are looking for an April release for the Kerala New Year, Vishu.
Jai had two releases in 2018, Jarugandi and Kalakalappu 2. While his Party directed by Venkat Prabhu and Neeya 2 directed by L Suresh are waiting for release, his Karuppar Nagaram is also getting ready.
