It’s all shades of grey for Vidya now

Vidya Pradeep, who was last seen as a cop in Magizh Thirumeni’s Thadam, has recently joined the cast of Sasikumar’s yet-to-be-titled project that has debutant Jiyen Krishnakumar at the helm. The actress reveals that she is essaying an intense negative character in it.
She says, “I am playing a very interesting character with grey shades — something which I haven’t portrayed before.I am glad to have landed an offer like this. It is a change from some of the girl-next-door kind of roles I’ve been getting. I was suggested for this project by cinematographer Gopinath sir, who was also the cameraman for Thadam. The director, too, had watched that film and wanted to cast me in his movie.”
