Sandhya is on a roll after her P Vasu-directed Kannada film Aptharakshaka, a sequel to the director's earlier blockbuster Apthamithra (Chandramukhi in Tamil), turned out to be a hit. Role in IKMS...
It's actually a cameo appearance in IKMS. I play a Red Indian princess, Thumbi. The length of the role might be small but those who have seen the film say it is a scream. The language we ' MS Bhaskar, Charms and I ' speak has become popular with the audiences. The goof-ups that Charms does when he translates the Red Indian language to Tamil will bring the house down.
Think different...
When the chips were down and my Tamil films were not successful at the box office, I did not get frustrated. I changed my strategy and thought differently. My films in other languages gave me a new lease of life. And now, I'm doing a film each in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Success matters...
It is a rat race; everybody wants to be number one, which means you have to be lucky to be part of a hit film. I have realised that your performance doesn't really matter; it is all about hits. Now, I've decided to go with the flow.
All's not fair...
I'm peeved that models and Bollywood rejects are making hay in Kollywood due to the colour of their skin. I still cannot fathom why our men prefer fair-skinned heroines.
Chill zone...
But I'm not the party type. My idea of chilling out is going for a long drive, preferably on the ECR. I like to walk on the beaches and talk non-stop with my best friend, who is not from the industry.

I really don't understand how the media can link me to my friend Saranya's brother (Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj)? We move together in the same circle as we have the same friends.
Binge's my way...
I enjoy non-vegetarian food; I also relish chocolates. My mother has been asking me to turn vegetarian and stop eating sweets. But I balance my bingeing with a strict diet and workout whenever I have to lose weight.
Glam babe? No way...
In movies, the cardinal rule of the glamour game is that an actress should feel good and confident when wearing revealing clothes. I'm particular about what I wear on screen and ensure that I can carry it. But a swim suit is definitely a no-no. I think that I'm more of a performer than a glam doll.
