���������������������������I am learning Telugu and if there are any mistakes in my pronunciation, I request you to forgive me. I have done a couple of films in Telugu and my recent flick, Police Police, released today,��������������������������� he said.
The Ugadi Puraskar, which was presented by the Srikala Sudha Telugu Association, saw many Telugu film artistes receiving the coveted award. While Arundhati bagged the award for the Best Film, Neelakanta received the award for Best Screenplay for his Mr Medhavi. Bhumika Chawla was presented the Best Actress award for her role in Swagatham and the Special Jury Award for the Best Actress went to Subramaniapuram fame Swathi for Ashta Chemma. Suneetha received the Playback Singer Award for Asha Chinni Asha (from Rainbow).Veteran director K Vishwanath gave away the awards to the recipients.
Allari Naresh, who bagged the Special Jury Award for Best Actor for Gamyam, said, ���������������������������I studied in Chennai and have always been associated with this city. I am happy to have received this award on World Theatre Day.���������������������������
Koti Ramakrishna, director of Arundhati, which hogged the limelight that evening, said, ���������������������������The success of the film belongs only to its producer Shyam Prasad Reddy. He agreed with me when I said I didn���������������������������t want to make the same old run-of-the-mill commercial.���������������������������

Receiving the award for Best Actor for his splendid performance in Shashirekha Parinayam, Tarun reminisced, ���������������������������I spent my childhood in Kodambakkam! In fact, my career started in Chennai with Anjali. Now, I am receiving an award in Chennai for the first time as well. Sashirekha... released on New Year���������������������������s Day and I am receiving the award on another new year (Ugadi).��������������������������� He also put forth his wish to director Vishwanath. ���������������������������I have acted in movies with him, but, I want to act under his direction,��������������������������� he said.
