Is Vijay's 'GOAT' inspired by Vijayakanth's 'Rajadurai'? netizens speculate

'GOAT' featuring Vijay in the lead role is now running theaters across the globe, and the much-awaited film is opened with positive reviews. Surprises Venkat Prabhu had through the Vijay starrer have been revealed as fans disclose them on social media in excitement. 'GOAT' storms social media with continuous reviews and praise pouring in for the Vijay starrer, and netizens keep a close eye on the film. Meanwhile, a video comparing Vijay's 'GOAT' with Vijayakanth's 'Rajadurai' has grabbed the major attention. Vijayakanth's 1993 release 'Rajadurai' also had a similar storyline to Vijay's 'GOAT', while both films are about the clash between a father and son. When 'GOAT' was said to be a film inspired by a Hollywood film, the Vijay starrer looked similar to a vintage Tamil film, which surprised fans. It is worth mentioning that Vijayakanth's 'Rajadurai' was directed by Vijay's father, SA Chandrasekhar.


However, the racy and engaging screenplay from Venkat Prabhu has turned out to be the winner, as 'GOAT' is receiving better reviews from audiences across locations. The makers have used the de-aging technique to film Vijay's younger character in the film. Vijay rocked well through his dual role as a hero and villain, while his negative role impressed fans better.

Venkat Prabhu's directorial also has Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal, Sneha, Yogi Babu, Jayaram, Mohan, Vaibhav, Laila, and Premgi Amaren, among others, and the film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Siddhartha Nuni handled the cinematography, while the film's editing was taken care of by Venkat Raajen.
