Director Ramkumar made his debut with the comedy film ‘Mundasupatti’. Soon, his next film ‘Ratsasan’ a psychotic thriller took the entire nation by awe in 2018 when released. After giving two hit films in Tamil with different genres, his third film now has high expectations.
Reportedly, Ramkumar after ‘Ratsasan’ planned a film with actor Dhanush and the movie was in pre-production for nearly two years but later Dhanush because of creative differences with the director, opted out from the film. Now, the new news is that Ramkumar has decided to join hands again with Vishnu Vishal for his third film.
‘Mundasupatti’ and ‘Ratsasan’, both films by the director, had Vishnu Vishal as the main lead. The next untitled film of Ramkumar will also reportedly have Vishnu Vishal playing the lead. The official announcement regarding the same is awaited.
According to reports, the film is touted to be the sequel of ‘Ratsasan’ and is expected to be titled ‘Ratsasan 2’ as the movie was a super hit. Earlier, it was also reported that the director had approached actor Sivakarthikeyan, but as the dates did not work out, Ramkumar decided to reportedly cast Vishnu Vishal again.
On the work front, Vishnu Vishal was last seen in the film ‘FIR’ which was released in February 2022. It was directed by debutant Manu Anand, who was an associate of Gautham Vasudev Menon. Vishnu Vishal is currently filming for the film ‘Mohandas’.
