The controversial adult comedy ‘Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu’ made a lot of noise when it hit the screens earlier this year. Despite negative reviews, ‘Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu’ got decent response from youngsters and became very successful at the box office. Reports now suggest that ‘Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu’ is all set to be remade in Telugu.
According to reports, Santhosh P Jayakumar, who helmed the original, has been roped in to direct the Telugu version as well. Actor
Adith Arun will reportedly play the lead role. An official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. If reports are to be believed, the Telugu remake will mark Santhosh’s fourth film after ‘Hara Hara Mahadevaki’, ‘Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu’ and ‘
Ghajinikanth
’.
Post the release of ‘Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu’, a transgender activist filed a case against the film for its objectionable content. In fact, a whole list of celebrities including veteran director Bharathiraja also slammed the director for coming up with such a crass film.
